Intensive Care Unit

The ICU of Southpark Hospital provides comprehensive and continuous care for patients who are critically ill and can benefit from this care.

Private Rooms

Southpark Hospital offers only spacious, private rooms to its patients. It is important to a patient’s well-being that they are comfortable in peaceful surroundings. 

Internet Access

Each private room is equipped with internet access and web cameras are available so those out of the Lafayette area can visit with the patient.

Visiting Hours

Here at Southpark Hospital we believe that family and friends are important to the patient’s recovery. Therefore, we do not have set visiting hours. The only deviation from this policy is for those patients in intensive care. If a patient is in the ICU, the visits will be kept to 30 minutes every two hours beginning at 8 a.m. daily.

Dietary Concerns

There are times when a patient has specific dietary concerns. The Southpark Hospital staff will do everything necessary to meet these needs. Please inform the staff of your needs during your pre-op interview.

Parking

Southpark Hospital offers its patients free, ground-level parking around the hospital.

Hotel Accommodations

If a patient requires an overnight stay, Southpark Hospital does its best to accommodate the patient and one guest; however, if the extended family would like to visit, we suggest contacting our front desk at (337) 769-4080 for a list of hotels.
